Maureen Denise McCormick born 5th August 1956 in Woodland Hills California, youngest daughter, and the sole son daughter of Richard McCormick. Her parents were an aunt who worked as household worker and father who worked as a teacher. Michael Dennis, Kevin and Dennis are her three oldest brothers. McCormick started dancing and singing at an early age and would often perform show-like puppets in front of the kids in her community. In the year she turned 6, McCormick won the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley competition. Pat Domigan from the Jack Wormser Agency then called her and asked whether the actress was looking to pursue a career in show business. McCormick was offered her first major job when she was cast in the commercial for television that was broadcast in 1964 of Mattels new baby doll, Baby Pattaburp. The commercial was re-run in 1964 for Mattels Chatty Cathy toy and soon was cast as the leading character on The Wind It up and It is Broken, a show at La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch McCormick, who was selected from over 1500 auditioned children, was cast as the third of three head-to-head daughters, in The Brady Bunch (1969) with Florence Henderson and Robert Reed. The five-year run of the show was a great success. McCormick in her memoir Heres the Story Surviving Marcia Brady And Finding My True Voice Published In 2008 McCormick revealed how during the 5th season of the television show she almost lost the love of her life to her twin brother Barry Williams. He was just 19. She was 16. It could have been, she says. However, the timing of our romance was not the right one.
